Someone buys a restaurant gift certificate worth and invites 3 other people to come along to meet the requirement to use the certificate. Does the person get to use the towards the portion of that persons' bill or should the be discounted to the whole bill and everyone gets an equal discount? What would be fair?
Gift certificate is the same as cash for that person, so he’s not expected to split it.
What would be fair would be to give everyone a discount (because you needed extra people to meet that $35 requirement). But, everyone is going to have to spend about the same amount or it won’t be fair. That’s what I would do…
Bring a calculator in the event someone spends more than the allotted amount.
I would share it. Minus the original cost, of course.
> everyone should benefit from this discount!
