I want to make a purchase online without a credit card.I'm pretty sure the RiteAid near my house sells visa gift cards. Do I just walk in, give the amount I want to put in the card, and be able to use it immediately when I get home?

They work pretty good,i used them before,even though i rather to use american express gift card i have to recognize that visa gift card is pretty good also,the best thing to do is to go to google and type visa prepaid card and that should lead you to the visa web site where you can register your prepaid card,why i am saying this? because :you don't have to, but it is much better to register you card on line to keep an eye in all your transitions,something that you may find handy in the long run,with american express gift card this option is not necessary to do,you just have to call to the 1800 number on the back on the card and they set you up,they charged interest in both cards after a year,so it is better to use them before the year it's up,also if you planning to buy gas in a gas station don't slide your card at the pump,because this kind of cards do not work like that,go inside the store and tell the employee how much gas you need to buy and him/her have to help you to do the purchase of gas.and yes you can use this cards to do all kind of on line shopping,last year i bought me a cell phone from the t-mobile web site,some auto parts that i needed it,etc,etc.
