What happens to a gift card when the issuing company goes out of business?
I have a gift card that was given to me a year ago, and now when I try to redeem it I find that the company is out of business. Is there any thing I can do? The specific gift card is for a company called "golfguys.net".
Sorry but, your gift card has no value if the company is out of business. A remote possibility exists that another company may honor the gift card (such as another company that bought the old one) but, it’s highly unlikely. Check though, to see if the golfguys were purchased by another company — it’s worth the effort or you lose out on the gift. Good luck.
